UFO is a British science fiction television series created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson and filmed by their production company, Century 21, for Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment.
The series debuted on September 16, 1970 in the Midlands, Tyne Tees, and Border ITV regions and was first shown on LWT on September 18, 1971. The first repeat run in the London ITV region was in 1973.
The theme tune was composed by Barry Gray.
